From Terminals to Tides
Hi, I'm Anandhu Prakash — a software engineer who fell in love with the ocean. This blog is my public commitment to transitioning into marine engineering and underwater robotics.
I believe the skills we build writing code — systems thinking, debugging complex problems, building from scratch — translate beautifully to building machines that explore the deep blue. This is my diary of proving that theory right.
The Journey So Far
Freelance Web Developer
Started my tech journey as a freelance web developer, building websites and web applications using Django. Learned to ship fast, communicate with clients, and solve real-world problems with code.
BTech EEE & Automotive Software
Completed my Bachelor's in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and landed a role in the automotive software sector. Gained experience with embedded systems, vehicle software architecture, and industry-grade engineering practices.
The ROV Opportunity
Got an incredible opportunity to undergo professional training in the ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) field. This is the turning point — the moment the career pivot from software to subsea became real.
Charting the Course Ahead
Diving deep into marine robotics, ROV operations, and subsea technology. Documenting every step of this transition — the wins, the struggles, and everything in between. The journey has just begun.
